The Christian life is not easy. It consists of waiting, waiting and more waiting. It consists of trusting, preserving, and resilience. Sometimes you’ll feel like you’ve been waiting foreverrrrrrr. Just when you want to give up, God shows up. Or maybe in the midst of you giving up, you get back up and then months later you see God show up. He has his own timing and it never matches ours. A lot of the time we think the devil is the one holding us back from God’s promises but most of the time it is a factor of timing. God knows what he is doing and the longer you are waiting, the more he is preparing you so get hopeful because what you are waiting on is huge. You don’t give a baby a brand new car to drive. You wait until it is full grown and able to practice for a while, then it has to study and pass a written test to have a permit for a year, then take the driving test to get a license, then pay for a car, then pay insurance, gas and take car of the car. Big blessings come with big responsibility and that’s where we fail. We forget what we are praying for so much comes with a great responsibility. We dream about the good parts and the good feeling we’ll have when we get there. We never dream about the difficult days we may have. At the end of the day we all hate the wait. But we all need it.
