Like A New Car

When God starts to bless you, it almost feels too good. Not to good to be true because he says he will bless us.

But it feels like driving off the lot with a brand new car.

It feels like nothing can stop you. Like you will get everything your heart desires and more.

Everything is new. New beginnings, new dreams, new loves, new friends , new joys, new happiness, new everything.

Look how you got here, remember how you got here.

Through tons of obedience, prayer, and breakthroughs, you got here.

Rejoice, be patient, be brave, enjoy every minute.

You are blessed and have nothing to fear.

Like a new car, everything is brand new.

Nothing has be seen or experienced before.

Soak in the new.

Soak in God’s goodness for your life.

Good plans.

When it is your time, nothing can stop you.

Soak in the new.

Intercede

How many of us pray for other people?

There are people who desperately need prayer.

Why are we so hesitant to think of others?

We are constantly only thinking about ourselves. It takes work to think of others.

It takes work to care for them.

We live in a generation today that is so obsessed with themselves and caring for others less and less.

It is beneficial to care for others.

It is beneficial to give your time and energy to others as we are all in this faith walk together.

You may be at another level than your fellow brother or sister in Christ or you may befriend someone who does not believe.

Wherever anybody is in life, they deserve to be prayed for. Even your enemies.

This is not new information.

Just read the sermon on the mount.

Most of it deals with our heart, our actions, and how we treat other people.

Intercede whenever you can.

Use your voice, and pray.

Trust God

Has God ever given you instructions or a thought about someone and you consistently question it because it seems impossible or doesn’t make any sense? Ever time I try to turn away from what he has said, I don’t have peace about it. As soon as I give up and say “okay God, I trust you”, I feel at peace. My biggest struggle may just have to be patience. There are many things I am patient with and many that I am not. I don’t know why I don’t think I need to wait when God says be patient. Patience is not easy. I am always reminded of David in the wilderness, Abraham waiting for Isaac and Joseph in prison. They each had a promise but had to wait decades to see it fulfilled. Their faith got them through it. David cried out to God in the wilderness, writing many psalms of anguish and praise. Joseph continued to use his gifts to help others while he was hidden underground. Abraham took a detour and had Ishmael which many of us do, but God didn’t give up on him and still trusted him with the promised son, testing him again later to see if he truly was faithful and trusted God. What if God is testing your faithfulness? Wouldn’t you want to pass the test? I know I do. Every time I want to take the easier route, I am reminded that it will not get me to where God wants me: deeper and closer to his goodness, mercy, wisdom, and grace. Most importantly, it will get me to the promise.
