Conditons

Do we love you only when we receive what we want?
Can we love you if things don’t go our way?

Our love for you is circumstantial if we only choose to be OK when things are going our way.

But your love is consistent.
You say to draw near to you and you draw near to us.
How often do we draw near?

When we draw away, we feel so far away.

It shouldn’t take falling into sin to realize that we are not so in love with you as we used to be.

It shouldn’t take feeling so broken to realize we forgot our first love.

It should feel as if your whole world is falling apart because you haven’t spoken to your first love in over a week.

It should feel so uncomfortable, knowing that you’ve looked to other things to be your comfort.

What if we were in the habit of making sure our love for you never grows dim?

What if our love for you is always strong, always bright, always full of enthusiasm, never boring, never mundane?

Could we be stronger Christians that are full of peace, joy, and wonder all the time?

In that case, would it be easier to love you unconditionally without conditions ?

Or are conditions so big that we don’t think we could love you if you don’t do what you have promised in our timeframe and our timeline.

Your love is unconditional always, no matter what condition we are in.

If only we could love you the same.

Then we would not be in this condition.

God is Good

Why do we only say God is good when things are going our way?

You see posts about engagement, marriages, new babies, graduations all that end with “God is good”.

Is God good only because you received what you wanted?

Is he good only when the best things in life happen?

Or is he good to us in the storm?

Isn’t he good through our pain, hurt, suffering , and torment?

Was he good to Joseph when he was sold into slavery, wrongfully accused, the thrown in jail?

Was he good to David, fleeing into the wilderness from his own family?

Was he good when Job lost almost everything?

Yes. He was.
He is good when we finally get married, have a baby, or graduate.
But He is also good in sleepless nights, tears of pain, and heartbreak.
He is good all the time.
Not just when we get what we want but when we don’t get what we want.
He is good whenever he gives us what we need and when he withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly.
God, you are good in the storm , in the trial, and in sorrow.
The blessings of graduation, marriage, and family are always good.
You are good.
There’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
God is good. All the time. And all the time.
God is good.

Jesus is the Best Relationship You Need

You can’t breathe. Your heart is heavy. You feel like your about to explode.
What is that? That’s life.
It’s all the heartache and difficult times all in one.
It’s all the many changes we go through, people who’ve hurt us, friends we’ve lost, places we’ve moved on from.
Take all that and try to survive… without Jesus.
Remember? You have a savior.
He calls you friend. He calls you his.
He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Yet, we forget about him all the time.
We live our life with adding him in only a little bit.
What if he wants to be it. He wants to be our life.
He’s who we should think about right when we wake up and who we should think about right before we go to sleep.
He is the prince of peace, the comforter, the mighty counselor.
We go to everything and everyone else before we go to him.
How do we forget Jesus so quickly?

How can we forget the most important and best relationship we will ever have in this earth?

Maybe because we don’t see the value in the relationship.

Jesus is able to do more for us than we can imagine. He is always on time.

He takes the time to show us what we need to know, who we really are, and who he is to us.

Things don’t always happen in our own time or in our own way.
We have to surrender, humble ourselves and trust in his ways.
His love is everlasting, eternal, and not safe.
When you follow Jesus, you step in battle with the enemy of this world and his people.
But you are with the king of kings and lord of lords who is greater than anything in this world.

Believe in the promises he has in store.

More and more good you shall see, if you trust, pray, and persevere through all things.

The next time you feel like giving up, the next time you feel alone, the next time you feel like there’s no hope,

Remember Jesus.

Draw near to him and he’ll draw near to you.

No other relationship will ever be enough to satisfy your soul.
If we hunger and thirst for him, we shall always be filled.

We shall never be thirsty, lonely, or afraid.

He is with you to the end of the age.

Let the devil know where you stand

Sometimes, we let the enemy have too much say over our lives.

He uses people to harm us. He puts negative thoughts in our minds. He does not want us to fulfill our destinies.

Why do we even let him get a say?

Jesus shut the devil up with scripture.

Jesus knows who is and the devil could not convince him otherwise.

It is time for us to speak out loud and tell the devil to flee.

When we resist him, he must flee.

Tell him to go! Tell him to get packing!

I belong to Jesus. God is my father. The Holy Spirit is within me.

He who is in me is greater than Satan in the world.

God is a man of his word.

Whatever he has promised me and you, it will come to pass.

Our journey here on this earth is quick, it is but a vapor, vanishes away.

Our eternity in Heaven is never ending.

These momentary troubles we face are not compared to the joy that is ahead of us.

Believe God in his promises for you.

His promises are true and he will not fail.

Those who believe get to see the promises, they get to see the miracles, they get to see the blessings.

We shall reap a harvest if we do not give up.

The devil wants you to give up.

He wants you to call it quits.

He wants you to commit suicide.

He does not want you to do anything for Jesus.

He does not get to decide or determine our lives for us.

It is time for him to give back what he stole from us.

It is time for blessings to be released.

It is time for joy to be fulfilled.

It is time for promises to come true.

It is time for us to realize who we are in Christ and that the enemy no longer has a say over us.

I belong to Jesus.

I am his.

God is my father.

I am a child of God.

On this solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.

Pressure

We are given such a short amount of time to make an impact.

so much pressure can be on us to decide who we want to be , where we want to live, and what we want to do.

allow God to relieve you of that pressure.

you can easily fear the future, and feel like you need to have it all figured out today.

instead, why not be content?

be ok with what you have today.

if you get what you want tomorrow, would that solve all your problems,

or would you just find something else to not be content about?

Proverbs 31:25 – She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

God’s Way

When we try to write our own story, we can miss the entire picture.

Every time we try to do it our own way, we end up feeling worse than when we started.

Isn’t it funny how the Prince of Peace actually lives up to his name but we’d rather try to find peace elsewhere.

When our hearts, minds, and souls drift away from what that reality, we get lost in our own bottomless pit struggling to find a way out.

Instead,

Choose God’s way.

His thoughts are higher, his ways are higher.

We may think we know but we have no idea what he’s doing behind the scenes.

What he is orchestrating.

You don’t see the demons he fights for you daily.

You don’t see the accidents he prevents from happening.

You don’t see the all the reasons why certain people are not in your life or why doors had to close.

But you can know that God will never leave you nor forsake you.

He knows what he is doing and nothing will stop his plan.

No demon in hell can ever stop God’s plan from happening.

His will be done.

His kingdom come.

Fish Out of Water

Being a Christian can feel like being a fish out of water.

You’re trying to breathe in a habitat that is not meant for you to survive.

The whole world is yelling and blaming you for everything and anything because they are blinded.

They don’t recognize the Holy Spirit because they are not looking for him.

We, who are filled with the spirit, see all the destruction.

Yet we are not alone.

There are many people trying to breathe in a world full of death, hate, and PRIDE.

People can’t see their own destruction.

How hard it is, to not want to yell out from the top of your lungs about these things are going on today.

The evil, the hate, the love for things that are bad, and the hate for things that are good.

Every job is affected, every career is influenced.

The world pushes their ideas on everyone and everything and gets upset whenever a Christian says anything because they know it is against what they believe.

Christian, don’t be shy, don’t get quiet. Get Louder.

God has not given us a a spirit of fear.

He has given us LOVE, POWER, and a SOUND MIND.

Wake up to God’s word. Let it play everyday and read it continuously, lest you be deceived and walk into the trap of the enemy.

Out of water , breathing for air.

You only have so much time left.

Plate Full

It baffles me how i can have so much that i am doing and still think it is not enough.

is it overachieving or just not fulfilling?

not being aware that my plate is full

way more than full.

it is overflowing with God’s grace , goodness, kindness and mercy

yet i am searching for more.

why is this?

why is it that our hearts can have everything and feel like we have nothing?

how can a woman look at her closet full of clothes and still go on a shopping spree and say she has nothing to wear?

oh i get it.

we want to control.

we want to control every aspect of every outcome.

we want everything at our finger tips, at our beck and call.

has society made us this way?

always throwing something new in our faces and telling us we have to have it.

is anyone content?

is anyone ok with just living with what they have or do they think they need more?

why would a man cheat when he has a beautiful wife and three kids at home?

losing everything to gain what we don’t need is a high price to pay.

we are so full we can’t tell ourselves when to stop even though we know we are about to explode.

reality has to slap us in the face.

we wake up and realize we’ve gone to far and have to begin again.

begin again.

this time with Jesus.

his cup runnneth over and you are full of peace and grace.

Let him be the one who keeps you full.

if you are gonna overflow with anything, let it be God’s grace.

No Point

There is no point in dreaming of something that you know is already going to happen.

While you wait to see it come to pass, let God be your main priority.

Let God be what wakes you up in the morning, excited for the day.

Let God be your reason for your smile at the end of the day.

There is no point of wanting what we cannot have especially when what we have now is already so good.

There is no point in wishing for a prophecy to come sooner because you think you are ready for it now.

That’s the whole point.

The point is to trust God. Believe God. Worship God.

Let your life point back to him in all things.

God is the point.

Without him,

There is no point.
